I’m a glasses wearer
and proud. Yes, you will see me in contacts from time to time and at more
formal occasions, but generally I treat my glasses as a part of my wardrobe –
they’re just another fabulous accessory!
I love my glasses
and I love how they’ve really come to the forefront of fashion in the past few
years. Yes, people may take the micky out of the ‘geek chic’ specs, but surely
it’s better that they have become a fashion trend, than there be the situation
that I can remember from my teens where people would feel
uncomfortable in glasses, and worried that they could never be truly stylish
with them. Who would have thought that now you would be able to get specs with
non-prescription lenses in fashion stores just a few years later?
But if glasses are
the new in accessory, let’s face it, they’re an expensive one. It would be fab
to be able to change your specs with your mood and outfit, but most of us only
have one or two pairs. So, how about if I told you that you could have the
chance to win a year’s supply of lovely new glasses and sunglasses?
Yup, in celebration
of specs wearers everywhere, I’m happy to share that Glasses Direct have asked
me to help them find the face of their brand new brand Scout.
They are looking for
someone who loves fooling around with fashion and creating their own look. They’re
not looking for the next top model, but someone who can truly represent the
brand which boasts an eclectic mix of
bold and on-trend frames that need an equally individual face to wear them.
To enter, all you
have to do is email scout@glassesdirect.com
by the 9th June 2012, with a picture of you rocking one of your
favourite outfits with a little bit about how you’d describe your style. You
could get picked to debut in Scout’s debut eyewear collection campaign on the 12th
June in London, all expenses paid, PLUS win a year’s supply of Scout frames
with your prescription, UV or sunlenses. (How fab is that, a pair to match
every outfit!)
