L'Occitane and InStyle Pamper Evening, Pavilions Birmingham

With Bhav of Wardrobe blog

Before the half term break I was thrilled to be invited along to a pamper evening hosted by InStyle and L'Occitaine at the Pavillions in Birmingham - a whole evening of private shopping and pampering by a fab luxury brand!

Not only am I never one to turn down the offer of canapes and champagne (well, I have to keep up the blogger cliche, don't I?), it was also a lovely chance to see some of my favourite Brum bloggers after far too long.

After having a little chat and catch up with Bhav from Wardrobe, Emma from Fashion Mommy,  and Laura from Doll on Fashion, and meeting the lovely Emma from SX Media and Jen from Style Birmingham, I was able to have a wander around the store and the very helpful ladies from L'Occitaine introduced us to some of their new products, as well as explaining some of their old favourites.
Gorgeous art deco style bottled cologne

I loved their fresh new colognes, which come in quite frankly ridiculously large gorgeous art-deco style bottles. My favourite was the fresh Eau Captivante which I can only describe as all the best bits of a Mojito - lime, mint and plenty of zing! Perfect for freshening up on a hot Summer day, but don't let your man get to it, as it's definitely a unisex fragrance and may well go missing!
Immortelle skin care

We also had a look at their Immortelle moisturisers, which are a current favourite of beauty editors everywhere - I'm not surprised as I've been using a moisturiser with Immortelle for a while now, and absolutely love it. I recieved a sample of the L'Occitaine day and night creams, so will have to give them a little go and see if they live up to the hype!

My absolute favourite discovery, though, has to be the Pivoine range - I LOVE peonies, so it was an absolute joy to find a whole range of fragrances, shower gels, body lotions and makeup all fragranced with one of my favourite flowers (yes, I know, peonies, living the blogger cliche once more!) I loved the Pivoine Delicate Shimmering Powder, which came in an old fashioned bottle that would look just darling on my dressing table, and released a puff of shimmering, scented glitter perfect for highlighting the decollete or shoulders (or, in my case, spreading all over myself like a sweetly-scented glitter ball. Sorry, I just love to sparkle!). I  received a bottle of Pivoine shower gel, which is running out worryingly quickly due to it smelling just heavenly, and not drying out my skin at all.
Shimmering pivoine powder - lusting after this!

Lovely Pivoine lip glosses, balms and tints

Having a super pampering shea butter hand massage

Thanks to Emma Fox and L'Occitaine for inviting me along, a fabulous night enjoyed by all.
